IF GOD SAYS IT DOES IT MAKE IT SO?

Is it okay to go on our merry way when we have sinned?  Opps.  Oh well, I'm forgiven.  No repentance--turning from the sin--just opps.

"If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and seek my face and pray, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land." II Chron. 7:14.

Now we all know that is a sugarstick sermon on the first night of any revival.  So it's bound to apply to the saved in the church or preachers would stop preaching it.  And since GOD Himself said they were His people, I'd say that is anyone who professes to be a Christian, right?  If not, pray tell where I am wrong?

DOES GOD MAKE ME SIN?

According to some, God ordains every single solitary thing.  In the most general of ways I can agree with that statement.  Some say that because God allows thus and such to happen, that He, infact, causes it to happen.  I don't see God that way.  Why would God cause to happen what He abhors.  Why would God debase the proud but exalt the humble, when He is the one who made the proud to be proud and arrogant?

Why would He cause us to sin and then tell us to repent of our sin and then force us to repent or force us not to repent?  Perhaps I have it all wrong what folks mean when they say God ordains man to sin.  If so, please correct me.  selahV
