In just a few hours, the first black man in the history of America will accept his party's nomination as President of the United States. I've said for a long time that we, as a country, have come a long way in trying to heal the racial divide between black and white America. I've been criticized for saying this but Senator Barak Obama's speech tonite gives evidence that men and women of all color, race, and creed are Americans and are free to pursue the life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
I'm proud of us as a country for this step into equality for all. I'm proud of white Americans who do not see the color of a man's skin as reason to discriminate against him.
While I do not agree with any of Obama's policies nor the platform on which he stands and uses to lead America, I do admire we Americans who have made Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech a reality. Congratulations, Senator Obama, and congratulations, America! selahV
