It began before I was born. It covered me in my mother's womb. It surrounded me the moment I breathed my first breath. Without God's grace, I would not exist, nor would you.
Grace is sufficient to meet every need I've had, have, or will have.
God extends His merciful grace to help me meet the challenges of life, the struggles and trials. He cups my hand with His as I hold my children in mine. He fills my mind with righteous ways to override the unrighteous decisions I could make should I choose my own way. Yet, the filling is only complete when I follow in His direction-- His holiness, His perfect plan. I follow my own way at my own peril of consequence.
Grace is not a respecter of persons. In life, through grace, there is a recognition of one's sin. God's grace imparts that wisdom to the simple. He imparts it to the wise. We may ignore it. We may reject it. Nevertheless, grace is ours until we die. If we receive Jesus in whom a totally new life is made possible, from that day forward, we spend an eternity in His presence enjoying the glory of His saving grace. However, if we do not accept Jesus the Christ as Savior and Lord by the time we take our last breath, our journey with grace is finished.
If we reject Him, He rejects us. It's our choice.
The limits of God's patience is evident in many situations throughout the Bible. He only allows man to go so far without consequence. Each decision we make in life carries a consequence. Each difficulty we face brings about a point of decision--to walk with God or without Him--to follow Him or to follow after our own desires.
Grace is a blanket that covers a multitude of sin--this sin was paid for by Christ shedding His blood and dying on the cross. He did it for us--for all humanity.
"For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will have everlasting life." John 3:16.
Grace gives. God's nature is to give--to bestow, to love, to forgive, but He will not be mocked. He wants all of me. He is not satisfied with leftover love from me. He wants my every purpose to be fixed upon Him and what He seeks to do in the world around me. He's paid the price for me to live eternally with Him by becoming sin and dying on the cross; He rose again and overcame death forevermore. He deserves no less than my allegiance and loyalty. By His grace I am able to give what He desires... dependence upon Him to do all things through Christ who strengthens me. His grace is sufficient to meet every need I have. His grace is enough.
