...you might just be one. Or, you may just "feel" like one.
When we are in the depths of a spiritual battle, we often look at our arsenal and think we have no business fighting on the front lines. We are weak, broken, weary, and worn out. Our energy is depleted, our faith is weakened, our spirit is cast down to depths we've never ever seen in our lifetime.
That, my friends, does not mean we have believed amiss. Nor does that mean we have proven our sceptics correct. That does not mean our God is imaginary. It means we are relying on the flesh and blood of our life to battle the spiritual. And we cannot fight the realms of darkness and evil powers that lurk in the darkness with our flesh and bones. He will keep thee in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on THEE...not whose mind is stayed on me and obstacles, and impossibilities. NO... on Thee...God, The Most High. It is HE in whom I have believed that HE is able to keep that which I've committed unto this day. HE. God Almighty. El Elyon.
So if you feel like a fake in life, when you falter or fail, tell everyone you feel like a fake. But remember, what you feel does not make it so.
You may be going through one of the most difficult times of your entire life--you are scared to death. But ultimately you know that the only possible way you will see daylight tomorrow is in trusting the Father above for a miracle. I know. I've been there.
Truth, my friends, is not always reasonable in our minds.
It makes no sense that God would send his people to the edge of a sea with Egyptians chasing them and then abandon them. It makes no sense that God would kill His only begotten Son to save a world that hates Him and is at enmity with Him. Life often makes no sense and solutions often seem impossible-- but we have a God of possibilities--a God of second and third and fourth chances. His mercies are new every single morning.
The main thing we need to know is that we do not always get what we think we will get, or think we should get, through the trials.
We must believe the Word, not our feelings. I believe God brings us to specific points and specific circumstances. And in our weakness He is made strong and is glorified. When I am at my lowest, the depths of my despair, is when I cling to the glimmer of hope I imagine is in the darkest pit of impossibiilites.
It is then I write, by blind faith in the darkness. I praise God. Because God does not lie. My mind can warp my spiritual understanding. So I lean not unto my own understanding but in all my ways, I seek to acknowledge HIM. I cannot do anything APART from Jesus. Jesus lives within me. With HIM we can do anything according to HIS purposes... not mine... but HIS.
So when you feel like you are a fake, remember..."all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". And there has never been a sinner who's confessed up that God is not faithful and just to cleanse from all unrighteousness and deliver.
You may feel fake... but God is not. And when you believe in the only begotten Son of God, your soul is righteous and pure and genuine before a Holy God. Live like it. Speak like it. Practice it. Don't let the deceiver rob you of your inheritance. ~selahV
