...and I feel better, now. Has it happened to you? You get up in the morning without a negative thought in your mind. You feel pretty good about life in general. Oh, you may have a few aches and pains. And you may have to juggle the bills a bit to make sure Peter gets paid the money you took from him last month to pay Paul. You may even discover your milk has exceeded its expiration date. But all in all, life is good. You have fairly good health, you still have friends who love you, and family to set you straight when you don't quite measure up to perfection demanded by world opinion-ators. Then...
...then someone says something, does something that simply stabs you in the core of your being. Your heart races. Your stomach lurches. Tears sting your eyes. You take a deep breath and count to ten, then twenty. But the pain within you doesn't go away. You are certain you aren't angry--it feels like heartache. The kind you get when someone picks on your child or betrays a trust. May I suggest you go for a walk?
Put down the telephone. Get away from the television set. Shut down the computer. Grab a water bottle and head for the hills. Or in my case--just walk around the block five or six times until you have talked it all out with Jesus. He has a way of setting all things back into place--aligning the err of man and refreshing your spirit. Let it go...mentally put it all in His nail-scarred hands. Let Jesus take it to the Father. He may do something about it; He may not. He may just laugh. But one thing is certain--it will not go unnoticed. Cast "your burden upon the Lord, for He cares for you" and those you love. He won't ignore you. selahV
