Multiple cuts in the crystal allow beams of light reflections. These beams, though pure and white, penetrate the clear glass and explode into brilliant hues of violet, blue, red, orange, and yellow. Grace hits earth and explodes like that. The purity of God's grace penetrates the world and touches all around it with fractured colors of sympathy, empathy, love, joy, peace, and goodness. Yet, the wicked shield their eyes from its brilliance. They move on into the darkness of familiarity and pride, even though God offers the promise of so much more--no more destruction, no more death--but life eternal..
"Though grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and regard not the majesty of the LORD." Isaiah 26:10
Yes, grace is shown the wicked. Grace is shown to draw all unto the Savior. Yet, some face Grace and do not learn the righteousness that pours forth from it. They ignore it. They reject it. How long will He be patient? How long with He tolerate idolatry and self-sufficiency? How long will He let the vile be vile, the unjust be unjust and treat fellow Christians with arrogant superiority? How long will the righteous be allowed to act unrighteously and treat their brethren with less regard than the vile? How long will the Lord tarry holding the prism of glory in His hand? selahV
