A few days ago, I encouraged you all to pray for Dr. Cecil Sherman and his wife, Dot. She was suffering from Alzheimer's and Dr. Sherman had just been diagnosed with acute leukemia. As I shared in my post then, he was under tremendous trial in dealing with not only his own health, but most likely, more so, with what would become of the dear love of his life as he struggled with his illness.
I just received word that his long-time sweetheart went to be with the Lord yesterday. For this we can rejoice in that her memory has been completely restored and she is in the arms of her Savior. One burden has been lifted from Dr. Sherman's life as he struggles to get better, yet there is still the burden of grief he must endure. But as he goes through the treatments for his leukemia, please be in prayer for him and his daughter and family as they mourn their loss and yet celebrate the many years of life they shared with a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Dr. Sherman's needs are being met by some churches in Houston area. And we can praise the Lord for His goodness and grace which is manifested through the lives of fellow sisters and brothers in Christ. May God be given every honor and praise. selahV
