Straining against a barbed wire fence, this horse nibbles on my daughter's grass. So often I think this is what we are like--never satisfied with what is on our side of the fence.
Some of us don't go to the lengths of hurting ourselves to quell the urges within. We just test the limits and boundaries of getting what we want as long as it's within a comfortable reach.
"I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation..." [Philippians 4:12b. Emphasis mine]
What is that secret?
Why aren't we more content? Why do we keep reaching for the elusive grass beyond our feet? selahV
