What would you say to a nine-year-old? Especially one who'd lost her daddy not quite two years ago. My granddaughter asked me that. Only she inquired, "Grama, what does it feel like to die?"
I had a response, and it seemed to satisfy her. But I wish I had asked her what made her wonder. It would have done much more for the dialog. I'm fortunate she expanded on her question a little. I'm equally blessed that she finds my home a place where she is free to ask whatever, whenever. Nothing is taboo. But I wonder, how would you have answered her question, knowing the little I've told you? selahV
