Hariette - As I study Baptist heritage, I find myself identifying with the Anabaptists in many ways, particularly their defense of "believer's baptism." These Swiss Brethren stood in support of Scripture by declaring that baptismal candidates be able to make their own confessions of faith before baptism. This "radical" position that the Church of Jesus Christ was to be populated by baptized believers was the heart of the true reformers of the 16th century. Many gave their lives to preach and teach this truth.
