I wonder how much of these attributes are natural, and how much are inculcated into them by cultural or religious values in terms of "learned responses". It seems to me that masculinity or femininity are rather indefinable, that they come with the body and are permanent. Learned responses can (and do) vary greatly from country to country, and are different from that which is natural.

Kat: that's a great thought to consider. I think a lot of it has to do with a learned response. How the male relates to his mother or significant female during his childhood. In some cases it will be the sisters who influence the male. In my husband's case, he has a lot of his grandmother's traits. Good thing for me. But it would be interesting to know if this is a cross/culture thing.
Maybe we can get some other MEN to comment on this. I get alot of AMEN's from women when I bring it up. thanks for commenting. This may be a research project I can do on the side. ICK. hate research. selahV
