THE MIND OF A CHILD DEEP IN THOUGHT.
WHAT IS LIFE ALL ABOUT?
Does Sissie have the answers?
Does Grama?
I wonder. I really do. Can anyone guarantee that my puppy won't get sick? That he'll get better if he does? Can anyone assure me that I am good even when I don't like to eat green beans?
Will you help me grow up knowing life is not a bad place? That not everyone is filled with hate, anger, bitterness and indifference? Will you show me kindness, goodness, gentleness, patience, peace and love? Can I count on you to smile in spite of sorrow? Rejoice in God's tiny pleasures and blessings? Will you help me laugh instead of cry? Will you encourage me instead of criticizing me? Will you teach me fairness from your justice? Appreciation by your praise? Confidence from your validation? Significance from your acceptance, friendship and love?
I WONDER. I REALLY DO.
"...Jesus said, Let the little children come unto me and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Mt.19:14. Innocence. Humility. Honesty. Pure love, unencumbered by pretense. Tender sprouts in need of tender care--gentleness, kindness, goodness and love.
"Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus." Phil. 2:4,5. And in that mind of Christ--let the little children come...forbid them not...they need us. They need you. They need Jesus. And you may be the only image of Him they ever see. Forbid them not. selahV
