Freedom. Liberty. And privilege.
In America we have the freedom to speak, to worship, and assemble without fear of imprisonment, punishment or execution. We have the liberty to work, to own property, to travel where we choose. We are privileged to vote for the leaders of our choice, to serve our country and pursue happiness. Not all countries have what America has. The millions who flock here reveal that many wish they had what we have. Still some people don't want what we have. To have the opportunity for freedom and not want it, is sad, but true.
In the greatness of being privileged to live in America's freedom, there's another freedom offered that is far more liberating and rewarding. Anyone in any country in the entire world can own this freedom. Yet, rather than have this freedom, many remain in bondage to sin and death.
"That nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption [and gain an entrance] into the glorious freedom of God's children." Romans 8:21
We who are citizens of another land, are far more privileged than those who live in the United States. Our homeland is open to all who seek entry. There are no closed borders. Jesus says, whosoever believes in Me will have everlasting life.
"So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free." John 8:36 selahV
