I have no doubt the man dressed in black was filled with the demons of hell. He wore contacts that made his eyes appear totally white other than a thin black slit in the center; they had no irises, no color. The oppressive spirit that surrounded him was evident to other Christians on the bus and quite discernable to me. He laughed at me when I spoke about Jesus to a young professing atheist who'd entered a conversation with me at the rear of the bus. He never joined the conversations regarding Jesus. For several hours he was a constant distraction, continually calling attention to himself each time I spoke of the hope we have in Christ--the hope he could have. However, he interrupted me each time I shared with Kevin on my twenty-four-hour bus trip. But some people refuse to hear.
"Listen to Me, you who know rightness and justice and right standing with God, the people in whose heart is My law and My instruction; fear not the reproach of men, neither be afraid nor dismayed at their revilings." Isaiah 51:7
The young atheist shared how his friends had witnessed to him about Jesus. He didn't believe it. He bitterly told of the sexual abuse he and his sisters suffered at the hands of his father. He shared how the authorities had done nothing to protect them or prosecute his dad. He refused to believe that God was loving. He refused to believe that God cared.
I do not know what happened to the young atheist, Kevin. But I have no fear of the demonic powers I battled with on that bus trip. They did not silence me. And my prayer is that God will continue to put people in front of Kevin until he hears and knows the Lord. When men won't hear and demons laugh, God is still God. selahV
