He was faced with tremendous criticism and met jealousy face to face. Rumors spread like wildfire. Leaders took action and he lost his position, his security, his home. Faced with the uncertainty of life he turned to the Lord, His constant stay in every storm. Though life had confronted him with arrows of anger and rebuke, his hand was securely held in the Hand that matters.
"He brought me forth also into a large place; He was delivering me because He was pleased with me and delighted in me." Psalm 18:19
This happened to David. He was the annointed King but Saul was not happy with him. Saul didn't like the thought of David becoming more popular, and having the support of the people. Saul wanted to get rid of David. The same thing happens to us. We are doing our best to serve the Lord and walking faithfully in His way. We are obedient to what He tells us to do. Then someone doesn't like what we are doing and we are faced with the criticisms of man. They think they are in charge. But they are not.
Just as Joseph came from a pit to a kingdom, David a cave to a palace, disciples from an upper room to the world, God is delivering. In the midst of all the chaos and uncertainty, God is delivering. And He will bring you "forth into a large place." Why? "Because He Is pleased" and "delighted" in your faithfulness to Him and His word. Don't waver. Stand tall next to the Stay of Life. He is delivering. selahV
