Test of Time
In the natural order of life, we each have times of testing. We test our strength, our knowledge, our willpower, our patience and self-control. We face the tests of heartache, suffering, and rejection. None of us is exempt. Each test is meant to teach us, strengthen our faith and deepen our character. I've been tested afresh of late. Test are not always easy or fun, yet I am grateful.
You see...
...in each test comes a reckoning of sorts; we have an inner score card from which to tally up our progress. We grow in our abilities, our endurance, our faith.
With my most recent tests I am assured, once again, my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ is keeping me from the enemy...protecting me from his sifting...his destruction. I am certain his barrage of attacks upon me are are like walking through spiderwebs in the glades of life. His flaming arrows are like wet noodles glistening to the one who places faith in the Most High God who is sovereign over all in control of every detail. Jesus prayed for me that I would not succumb to the evil ones wiles.
Every minute of every day brings another test. With every word I speak, every action I take, every thought I think, another test is given. I am grateful God loves me enough to let me face another day and gives me His strength and power and faith to endure whatever lies ahead. selahV
I had to start a new blog. All the other ones are corrupted. Just like when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the forbidden tree. Once they disobeyed, they opened the door of corruption and decay. That corruption eats at the body, mind, soul, and heart of man. It weakens every portion of mortal man. But penetrates the desires of the heart and seeks to satisfy its insatiable appetite. It's like the worm that eats each of my posts every time they are opened. We open ourselves up, crack the door of our hearts, or the window of our minds and the evil worms its way into our most vulnerable spaces. We must build better firewalls. We must not crack the door or throw open a window. We must not link to others who dwell in madness, hatred, or deceit. We cannot let confusion rule our lives. We must stay our minds upon the Lord and He will direct our paths and keep us in perfect peace. We must store our treasures in heaven where moth, nor rust, nor thief can destroy the purpose for which we were born. Men may attack us, the enemy of this world may rule the crevices of weakness, but "greater is He who is in me, than he that is in this world."
"I lift mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord." I hope yours does, too. selahV
