It's July 9th; so I go to Psalms 9:9 and this is what I find:
"9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times
How are we "oppressed"? I wonder to myself. Sometimes we
are lonely... sometimes we feel all alone in our loneliness....
sometimes the air we breath is oppressive, the place in which we sit is
oppressive, the people we must deal with in life are oppressive, the
health we face is oppressive. HOWEVER....The LORD is a refuge. A
respite. A resting place. A harbor for our weary, oppressed souls and
troubled mind. We need only trust:
10 And they that know Thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the
people his doings.>>>> it's time to sing.
What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear. Jesus knows our every weakness; take your life to Him in prayer.
