What are your bonds? Hatred? Anger? Discouragement? Pessimism? What limits you? Regrets? Bitterness? Fear? Faithlessness? What holds you down and impedes your progress? A habit? Unforgiveness? Sin?
Some people are fueled by their bonds. The same thing that imprisons them, strangles the sufficiency of life God intends. As they struggle against the chords of opposition, they do not yield their power to Him, thereby, strengthening their bonds' grip on their hearts, minds, spirit and emotions.
"O Lord, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have loosed my bonds. I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord." Psalm 116:16, 17.
In Christ I am set free. He loosed my bonds. All that binds me today is what I allow to hold me--that which I embrace and will not surrender. The weight of this world is not mine to shoulder. The evil is not mine to fear. The culture is not mine to imitate. Christ has overcome it all. selahV
