When I took this photo, this white butterfly was absolutely white. There was no spot on it. I had this great idea with the purity of its whiteness to write a post on holiness--being unspotted. With robes of righteousness.
But when I uploaded it to my computer, this little charcoal gray dot appeared. It must have been a dust particle on the lens. I thought, How dare you ruin my picture!
Today I think of all we can be attracted to that leaves a particle of dust upon our souls, our testimony, or mind. And I realize how easily we see through a tainted lens when we evaluate or consider the temptation before us.
Whether it be recognition, ambition, or status, our desires lead us to taste the nectar of satan's attractions.
